Intruda Guard is an Australian company that provides portable electronic security alarm systems designed to meet the needs of the building construction industry with applications available to the boating and caravan industries. The designer of the system is a Registered Building Practitioner with 40 years experience and understands the trauma that a lack of protection can bring in terms of time, money and anxiety.

The Housing Industry represents 60% of all building activity in Victoria. Construction sites can be easy targets for crime as they contain high value building materials & equipment.

Millions of dollars are lost each year through theft and vandalism. Implementing some simple security strategies can greatly reduce such risks. According to the police, alarms act as a deterrent and burglars may bypass properties where they are fitted.

Our priority is to provide quality, reliable and cost effective protection that can be simply installed by the builder at lock up stage, enabling building materials and equipment to be secured on site. The system can be switched on or off from a mounted keypad or remotely from a mobile phone. It is designed to call up to three telephone numbers to advise that the site has been accessed without authorisation and also has a management system that records and tracks pin numbers and access times.

The alarm can be included in the cost of the construction and remain in the building as a “value add” to clients or, being portable, can be removed and transferred to the next construction site.

Theft from domestic construction sites accounts for approximately 1% of the purchase price of new homes, therefore on a $250,000 home, $2,500 is factored into the final price. The system can be purchased for much less than this.
